Day 2: Kawagoe and more.
Yesterday we traveled to Kawagoe, it took around a hour to get there but in the end was a great experience. There were many shops to look at including sweet shops, rice cracker shops, spice places and many other souvenir places. Kawagoe is a place where lots of the tourists go, so yesterday Andrew and Sonia and I were all tourists for the day.
When you are walking down the roads every so often you will come across a drink machine, they have juice, soda, water, iced tea and a whole assortment of different drinks. It is very weird seeing these on the side of the roads, but also very useful as you don't have to walk all the way over to the nearest store.
After we got back from Kawagoe we stopped into the supermarket at the bottom of the apartment, (this supermarket comes in handy as it is only a minute to get there, down the lift and outside) we bought things to make lemon cupcakes which we whipped up and took to Andrews bosses house, the family was American and Andrew teased them about their accent quite a lot. They had one 10 year old girl and a 8 year old boy, and were very nice. The kids didn't like Japanese food so we ate spaghetti pasta with a tomato sauce and lots of cheese.
They had a very cute little dog named Toshi, he was 2 years old and was very small.
When we arrived back home I went to sleep and woke up this morning to the sound of Andrew getting up to go to work.
